1. Your Right to Delete Your Data
MALMART INDIA PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED ("Malmart") respects your right to control your personal data. This policy explains how you can request deletion of your account and associated personal data from our systems.
This policy is required for compliance with Google Play Store and Apple App Store data deletion requirements.
2. What Data Can Be Deleted
Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete the following data:
Your user account profile (name, email, phone number)
Delivery addresses saved in your account
App preferences and notification settings
Wishlist and saved items
Communication history with our support team
3. What Data May Be Retained
Certain data may be retained even after account deletion for legal and business reasons:
Transaction records and order history – retained for up to 7 years as required under Indian tax and accounting laws
GST invoices and related financial documents
Information required to resolve ongoing disputes
Data required to comply with a legal obligation or court order
Fraud prevention records
4. How to Request Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and personal data through any of the following methods:
Method 1: In-App Request
1. Open the Malmart app
2. Go to Profile > Account Settings
3. Tap "Delete My Account"
4. Confirm your identity and submit the request
Method 2: Email Request
Send an email to info@malmart.in with the subject line: "Account Deletion Request". Include:
Your registered email address or phone number
Your full name as registered on the Platform
Reason for deletion (optional)
Method 3: Phone
Call us at +91 99660 41048 (Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM IST) to initiate a deletion request.
5. Processing Timelines
We will process and acknowledge your deletion request within 3 business days. Complete deletion from our active systems will be completed within 30 days of the request. Backup systems may retain data for a further 30 days before full purge.
6. Verification
For security purposes, we may require you to verify your identity before processing a deletion request. This is to prevent unauthorized deletion of accounts.
7. Consequences of Deletion
Deleting your account will:
Permanently remove your ability to log in with that account
Cancel any active loyalty points or credits (non-refundable)
Not affect any legally required financial records linked to past transactions
